Competition categories
Competition Routines, Chen, Yang, Sun, Wu, and 42 step (Hand and Sword form). Also 24 Step Simplified Taijiquan and 32 Step Simplified Taijijian.

Traditional Routines – Chen, Yang, Woo, Wu, Sun and other Known traditional Styles(Hand and Weapon Forms)

Group Routines :6-12 people in each team (mixed gender, routine consist of mixed hand, weapons are allowed.) team routines with less than 6 people will have 0.2 point deducted from the total score. Music without lyrics or commentary can be used.

How to enter
Each team should consist of 1 team leader, 1 team coach, team doctor and unlimited numbers of male or female team members

Each team member can enter 2 categories (1 hand and /or 1 weapon), each team can enter on group routine

1 team member in each age category in the Pushing hands section only and participating member can only enter 1 category

Members entering Pushing Hands competition are require to submit health certificates from their local hospitals and Medical insurances 15 days before the competition. Failure to submit required documents will mean disqualification on the Pushing hands competition.

Category by age and Gender
Form Conmpetition
A: 16 years or under;
B: 17 – 39 years;
C: 40—59 years;
D: 60years and over
Category with less than 5 participants will merge with the next category up

Pushing Hands
A: 18—25 Years
B: 26—35 Years
C: 36—50 years

Competition rules
Competition consists of individual and group categories

Rules are based on trail version produced by the Chinese Wushu Association

Time restriction:
competition Routines:Chen, Yang, Woo, Wu, Sun, 42 Step Hand forms 5-6 minutes. 24 Step is 4-5 Minutes and 42 Step Sword is 3-4 Minutes

Traditional Routines – All Styles Hand and Weapon Forms Max 5 minutes? 3?Group Routines – Max 4 Minutes

Pushing Hands
Rules are based on the Taijiquan competition rules by the Chinese Wushu Association?
Pushing hands competition uses knock out format.

To Book

Anyone who is interested in attending the festival, is reuqired to fill in a booking form and send it to us together with a deposit of £150.00 (non refundable after 15th August). Remainder of the fee and fee for the international air tickets need to be paid by the end of August.

People who are plannning to compete in the pushing hands catagory are required to get doctors' notes to certify the participant is fit enough to compete in Pushing hand section and he has no physicla diability, health problem or any illness that could affect them health during the competition.

It is compulsory for all participants to obtain Travel and medical insurance at their own costs.
