The festival runs over 6 days between 28th Oct and 2nd Nov. However, there is no direct flights to it, therefore, We have to fly out to Beijing on the 25th arriving on the 26th, stay in Beijing for a night to recoup from the jetlag, then travel on the 27th to Shi Yan City.
We will return from Shi Yan city on the 1st , then return to the UK on the 2nd Nov.
The trip is in total 9 days from 25th Oct to 2nd Nov including the stopping over in Beijing.
Day 1 - Sat 25th Oct
Departure for Beijing
Day 2 - Sunday 26th Oct
Arriving at Beijingin the afternoon, Check into hotel and rest for the day
Day 3 - Monday 27th Oct
Afternoon train to Shi Yan / Wudang
Day 4 – 8 Tues 28th – Sat 1st Nov
Opening ceremony, competing or spectating.
Visit to historical site Wudang Mountain etc. and exchange experience with enthusiasts from all over the world.
Day 8 - Sat 1st Nov
Night train back to Beijing.
Day 9 - Sunday 2nd Nov
Departure for the UK
There is also an opportunity to join our extension trip to see Beijing, the capital of China.
Extension Trip (Beijing 4 days) 22nd - 26th Oct
Extension trip is available for Enthusiast who would like to see the famous attractions in Beijing and immerse into the richness of Chinese culture, the itinerary as follow;
Day 9 - Sunday 2nd Nov
Visit the Summer Palace – one of the imperial gardens of the emperors, Silk Factory to see how silk is turn farmed and turn into duvets, covers etc
Day 10 – Monday 3rd Nov
Visit the Great Wall of China and the Ming Tomb, visit Jade factory to learn how to distinguish real jade from fake ones and how they are made into beautiful jewelleries.
Day 11 – Tues 4th Nov
Visit The Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City
Day 12 – Wed 5th Nov
Free Activity for the day (Lunch, Dinner and tranports not included). Good for last minute shoping for present and souvenir or visit to other attractions of interest (Lama Temple, Confusicious Temple, Hutong - narrow lanes with over 1000 years of history etc..)
Day 13 – Thurs 6th Nov
Depart for the UK
