Sun Style Taijiquan is one of the five major styles of Taiji. This unique style of Taiji was Founded by the Late Grand Master Sun Lu Tang, a famous xing Yi, Bagua and Taiji master in the early 20th century. He was also the first one to define these three martial arts as “The three Branches of a family and a family divided into three". The Sun style Taiji is a practical yet sophisticated system, it consists of all the core principles and characteristics of these three branches of the internal martial arts family. Sun style taiji is also called open and close and lively step Taijiquan due to its unique way of opening and closing hand movements and stepping methods. |
